checkout.tn privacy policy

What we collect

This privacy policy describes the data checkout.tn collects, and why. For a seller: the email and name provided at sign-up, directly or through an external sign-in service (such as Google), and their store's information. For a buyer placing an order: the name, phone, delivery address and email entered on the order page, nothing else. No banking data passes through checkout.tn: payment is cash on delivery.

Why

Order data serves one purpose: letting the seller prepare, deliver and track that order. It is processed on behalf of the seller the purchase was made from. We sell no data and show no ads.

Cookies and analytics

The site sets no advertising cookies. Your browser remembers your theme and language preferences, and an anti-bot service protects account creation. On our own presentation pages (home, contact, legal pages) we use Google Tag Manager to measure site traffic. In the seller area we use Google Analytics to measure dashboard usage: pages visited, nothing more. This measurement receives no buyer data, no names, no orders. Those pages are ours: no checkout.tn measurement tool is ever loaded on an order, tracking or review page.

Sellers' own measurement tools

A seller can connect their own order page to their advertising accounts (Meta, TikTok, Google Analytics) to know which ads lead to a sale. In that case those services see the page visited, the product and the order amount. They never receive your name, email, phone or address: that information stays with the seller and with us. It is each store's own choice, and the seller is responsible for it.

Hosting

The service is hosted on Cloudflare's infrastructure. Transactional emails (order confirmation and tracking) are sent via Mailjet.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by writing to us. A buyer can also contact the seller they ordered from directly.
